I'm Javi James, a artist and specialist in sound and recording engineering. In 2023, I began exploring sound design and developing immersive music for architectural visualization and conceptual art projects. My first EP was MUTUS METEORA, for the Spanish VR visualization studio "SecondaryBounce". The technique I use is to take defined sonic elements and create new forms, similar to foley art. I operate analog and midi technologies in constant symbiosis.
My style is oriented toward narrative sensationalism, fairly minimalist, and respectful of silences. I pay great attention to sound quality, dynamics, and spatiality. I also play with dissonances, nuances, and unpredictable melodies. Sub-bass sounds that enhance situations and convey their message are very characteristic of my compositions. I am sometimes somewhat disrespectful of methods and theories, which I actually ignore quite a bit.
I like to manage the entire production chain, from composition to mastering, and I do it from the depths of my humble home studio. I value every aspect of the work, so I'm very committed to quality. The way I compose has led me to discover new styles of expression.
